Thank you for taking this journey with me of discovering the secrets to overcoming.
Here's our key verse one more time:
Revelation 2: 7, "...To him who overcomes, I will give the right to EAT from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God."
Isn’t it thrilling to see that overcoming is possible? It is possible to be more than just one who deals with their struggles well. This verse says to him who overcomes! In other words, to the person who finds absolute victory in an area where they once knew nothing but defeat- this verse is for you.
Like I've said many times during this series, I don't know what your area of struggle is. But, I do know most of us girls always seem to be dealing with something. And those somethings can seem so hard, complex, heartbreaking and overwhelming.
I realize writing a few blog posts is hardly the end all be all to solving issues. But maybe it's a starting place. Maybe these posts can be a tiny thread of hope to cling to until you know what to do next.
And here's my favorite part of all of this, there’s a reward for pressing through your struggle all the way to absolute victory.
Most every person that overcomes will tell you their victory was the sum total of a whole lot of hard decisions- sacrificial decisions- that they made choice by choice, day by day.
Yes, knowing a reward awaits us is crucial. And how absolutely tickled I am to know that the reward for the overcomer is they are given the right to EAT! Eating from the tree of life will be unlike any satisfaction we’ve ever known. And might I just note that because it specifically says this tree is located in paradise this means we will be eating in heaven.
Oh yes we will. Amen corner, permission to erupt.
I'd love to hear today which of the overcoming secrets we've covered has meant the most to you personally? And certainly, if there is anything Holly and I can pray for you specifically or anonymously- we'd consider it an absolute honor to do that. Just let us know in the comments below.
ps. My friend Luann is hosting a special conference coming up you might be interested in attending. You can find more information here.
pps. And certainly I'd love to know if you'll be able to join Holly and me at any of our upcoming events. My schedule is listed here. It is always a complete delight to meet my bloggy friends in person.
Last night at Hope Presbyterian just outside of Memphis, we thought 1000 friends might show up. We were absolutely blown away when nearly 2000 filled the auditorium. For those of you who were there last night, thank you. Thank you so much for experiencing with me the sweet surprise God had for us last night.
So, any events near you?
Happy Tuesday dear friends.
