Earlier this month the show aired that I taped last spring with James and Betty Robison. What a joy to be with James, Betty and their staff.
This is my story. These are the things that happened in between the photographs found in the picture books of my childhood. For years I kept my story hidden in the shame-filled basement of my heart.
When I became a Christian, I knew God wanted me to share. I just couldn't do it. I was too afraid. I was too convinced I'd be shunned by everyone I loved.
So, I pretended and smiled and put up a plastic exterior of fake perfection.
Some of you know exactly what I mean. I pray this breathes fresh hope and courage into your soul.
