I wish I could put into words all my heart feels this morning. But, I can't.
Isn't that ironic? Coming off a conference called "She Speaks" where we teach and learn to speak, I am rendered speechless---
But I am.
And it is because of how I experienced God- the Great I Am -this weekend.
I'm starting to wonder if we should call the conference sHE speaks. Because really, that's what happens to me during this conference. HE speaks to my soul.
This morning I have been reading in Acts chapter 5 and I found these verses:
"...If their purpose or activity is of human origin it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God" (verses 38-39).
I am humbled by the realization that the reason She Speaks did not fail this weekend is only because it was purposed by God Himself.
Y'all I know intimately the propensity for my human failure.
I have an amazing team who work endless hours and countless days giving 110% to prepare for She Speaks but at the end of the day, we are just humans. With limits. With shortcomings.
But God.
I'm not sure what you are feeling limited by today. I bet if you are like me, you know well the places you fall short.
Can I just encourage you in whatever you are pursuing right now--- be it chasing dreams or chasing toddlers--- sit down at some point today and ask Jesus to show you his best plan.
And after you've sat with Jesus, get up from that sittin' time determined to actively look for and only seek His revelations with whatever you've got going on.
And you will see...
really see...
He leads,
He shows,
He reveals,
He gives,
He opens,
He closes,
He knows,
He arranges,
He challenges,
He asks,
He answers,
He speaks.
