The Cupcake and Muffin Top Update
Well, I had planned to post some photos of the cupcake. And yes, I realize that naming a hamster cupcake during a time in my life when I'm trying to eat more healthy is sort of an oxymoron of life.

However, it was better than the creature's original name of nibbles. Say that fast three times and you'll see why it really isn't such a great name. Ahem.

But in order to take pictures of said animal, one would actually have to know where it is. And for the better part of yesterday, we did not.

You know it's going to be an interesting day when your youngest daughter greets you first thing in the morning with this statement, "Mom, you are probably going to be really mad about something. But, I'm asking you to choose not be before I tell you what I'm about to tell you."

Apparently, she decided to play hide and seek with the hamster. And the hamster hid really well.

Suddenly operation Hamster-Find kicked into high gear. But despite our best efforts of calling, listening for the chewing up of my house that he was surely doing, and trying to tempt the thing with sunflower seeds, cupcake alluded us.

On our way to being very late for school, Brooke coached me on the fine art of scooping up the hamster should it scurry past me while she was at school.

Seriously, it was one of those moments no one can prepare you for. I've spent my life avoiding all things rodent like. And now I'm being asked to pick the thing up, kiss it, tell it I am so sorry for how scared it must have been and hand feed it a sunflower seed.

Oh I wanted to kiss the thing alright--- kiss it goodbye.

At long last Mark, the original aider and abeder of the cupcake, came home. In a huff I told him the whole blah, blah, blah story.

To which he replied, "Mom, calm down. Give me one minute and I will find the hamster."

And lo and behold, 20 seconds later, he sauntered into the kitchen holding the creature. I think he is the hamster whisperer y'all.

On another note, thank you for all the camaraderie, encouragement and advice concerning all things muffin top-ish. If you haven't taken the time to read through the comments from yesterday- you should.

Amazing. Helpful. Insightful. Honest.

So, here's my deal.

Last week's high was 158. Today's high was 155.5. We are hoping for a future forecast of 138. Fresh winds are blowing in from the north carrying with them divine inspiration and encouragement. Future updates sure to occur.

And here's hoping the cupcakes of all kinds, stay in their cage.
