I am a firm believer in stepping outside of one's comfort zone. That's why when Ashley's Russian gymnastic's coach challenged me to take an adult gymnastics class I made myself do it.
Adventurous I am. Athletic I am not.
But I just had to see if I really am not athletic or if maybe my parents never quite figured out how to bring out my athleticism. Maybe I secretly have Olympic qualities but because I never took the right class with the right instructor, it was never discovered.
I've been taking adult gymnastics for 3 years now. No big athletic discoveries have been made--- I can assure you. In this photo you will see: for Jackie it is a walk in the park. Next you have Chris mentally making out her shopping list. And then there's me. It is quite an effort to hold up all the junk in my trunk. Let's just say J Lo has nothing on me. Or maybe that should say JellLo. Remember that commercial, "Watch it wiggle, See it jiggle?" And it has been 3 years of this people!
I'll be back in a little while to post more photos of my adventures with God into the world of Athletics. Skinny girl is looking at the clock and telling me it's time to go meet Holly in the freezing temperatures for a run.

Okay, I'm back. I just checked the scale. I even took my pony tail holder out just in case that was the very thing holding the needle back from dropping slightly. Don't you think it would only be fair to see a slight downward movement of the scale if you go out and exercise? I mean I know that's not the way it works. But a girl can dream right?
This is our fearless leader--- with the stop watch in her hand--- does anyone know how to rig a stop watch to make the seconds tick faster?
These are my young and skinny classmates. When they run I am often behind them. I'm sure if you were to observe it would resemble young gazelles being chased through the African plains by Pumba.
These are my friends Carolyn and Sharon. I love them to pieces because they suffer through class with me.
My friend Jackie does not suffer through class. Those are her real legs y'all.
