I can birth babies.
I can write books.
I can run a ministry called Proverbs 31 Ministries.
I can bring home the bacon and fry it up in a pan.
But ask me to keep up with library book due dates, or a shopping list, or keeping my drawers (the kind you pull out, not the kind you put on) organized, well--- let's just call it a situation.
Look, I will come clean in this here post. God called me to Proverbs 31 Ministries almost 14 years ago when I was still a very, very green Christian and an overwhelmed new mom. Seriously, I was with the ministry for a few months before it dawned on me to actually read Proverbs chapter 31 for the first time.

Speaking of dawn and green--- Sometimes it is good to send the husband to the store. He came home with a name brand dish washing liquid and can I just say I have never enjoyed washing dishes so much in my whole life! This stuff just smells so good! It is the apple antibacterial Dawn. They are not paying me to say this.
Oh my stars, I love this smell. Does anyone know what might happen if I used it in a bubble bath? To wash my hair? I know better than to use it in my dishwasher--- been there done, done that, got the T-shirt, sold it on eBay. Just kidding. I don't know how to do eBay either.
If you hate to wash dishes- splurge on this and your heart will sing. If you like apple smells that is.

I also struggle in the kitchen. But I am getting better. For the most part. Do you know what has inspired me to enjoy cooking more? Having an organized drawer where I keep my mixing bowls and measuring cups/ spoons. This will not impress those of you who are naturally organized but for anyone who can bring home the bacon but gets stuck with trying to find the pan- you know my pain. So, this drawer is a complete thrill to me. Sometimes I just open it up and stare at it with glee. And then I make my very fancy Hamburger Helper boxed dinner and I just feel so very accomplished!
So this silly little post is a little about coming clean, a little about keeping it real, and little because sometimes a girl knows where to turn with these kinds of questions- and these are some serious questions. I'm about to go search for my overdue library books, wash my hair, and look at my drawer one more time.
