Last week I had the most amazing time speaking at a Christmas outreach in Avon, CT. (Special greetings to those of you visiting my blog that were at that event.) There were many things about this event that were wonderful. The decor was amazing. The food, absolutely delicious! And the music was beautiful.
But it was the spirit of God that absolutely took my breath away.
You see, the women at this church all invited their unsaved friends and family members. They had been praying specifically about who to invite. I'm sure some of them were nervous about stepping out of their comfort zones and inviting their unsaved friends to a church event. But God honored their efforts in a big way!
90 women accepted Christ.
90 women who now know the hope of Jesus.
90 women who don't have to worry about their eternity.
90 women who know Who to turn to when life stinks.
90 women who know Who to celebrate when life soars.
90 women who will live and leave a new legacy.
I think about wives going home and loving their husbands differently. Mommies kneeling by their kid's beds and for the first time praying with them. Older ladies who don't have to fear dying now. I think about this and I am moved. Profoundly and utterly moved in the core of my being.
So, who is in your sphere of influence that might need to meet the reality of Jesus through your life? Just take a step of reaching out in some way. Trust the Lord and leave the results in His hands. Post here how you could reach out to this person that the Lord has brought to your mind. Maybe your post will encourage everyone to reach out to someone...
