Off to Hollywood
Okay, I've kept this under wraps for months but I'm finally getting up the courage to blog about it. There is something strange- scary- potentially wonderful- possibly disastrous- amazingly unbelievable happening. Some producers in Hollywood have been investigating doing a movie of the story of me and my friends adopting our kids from Liberia, Africa. (If you want to see Oprah's coverage of our story, click on the Oprah show tab above.) One of the producers came for an initial visit back in August. Now, they are flying us out to see their world and sit on the set of the movie they are filming right now. (Anybody an Eddie Murphy fan? I think he'll be on the set tomorrow. Do you know any CLEAN interesting facts about him?)

So, tomorrow I'll be up at 5 am, driving to pick up my fellow Liberian mom and dear friend Genia, and flying us to Hollywood. It will be a far cry from my normal Monday routine of laundry, dishes, and running my kiddos to school.

I have to be honest, I'm not sure how I feel about all this. On the one hand, I am thrilled that Hollywood is interested in a story that is all about God speaking, people listening, and miraculous things happening. But on the other hand- hmmm- it is such a strange thing to be thinking about and praying about.

So, I'm just taking things step by step, day by day. I really like the producers we've been talking to and feel so honored to go see them in their world. Now, I'm off to pack- maybe I should take Brooke's blue satin clippy clappy shoes I told you about in my last post!

Thanks for your prayers!
