I bought the book "Who holds the key to your heart?" this Saturday at the Pursue the Passion conference in Greenville, NC. I began reading it on Sunday and by Monday night it had already changed my life! Hearing Lysa speak and reading this book helped me to deal with some things that had been heavy on my heart. After I fininsh this one I plan on passing it around to other women and buying more of Lysa's books.
Thank you Lysa!

I recently received a copy of your book "The Bathtub is Overflowing but I Feel Drained" as a gift. As I read through the first few chapters, I was comforted knowing that some of the struggles I deal with are things that you struggled with, too (and now I think maybe other Christian moms struggle in these areas as well).

I believe that you were anointed with the gift of clarification and application. I mean that I have read these scriptures before but I had not applied them to my life as you describe in this book. Doing so has helped me to change my perspective in a positive way. I am also able to tame the Mommy side of me when my children are out of my eyesight (spending the night with friends, field trips at school, etc.).

Thank you for your honesty and your ability to help others turn difficulties into ways to honor God.

Blessings to you and your family!

(I'm leaving in America for 8 years and half, and I learn english going to work, and reading, so forgive me if I don't write something right).
I'm from Brazil, and I'm married for 6 years. I just finish reading your book:"Capture His Heart", I read the translated version in portuguese, so I could have more to learn from, since portuguese is my first language.
I really want to tell you Lysa how awesome job you are doing by writing such a inspiring book and how even better to have it translated in another language to reach even more women out there.
I also love to read and write and hope to one day write books to help people in their daily life as a Christians.
But this book really change my way of looking to marriage and point out my responsability as a wife in the house. It's amazing how God gave to us women all the keys to really work out our relationship with our husbands. Thanks to you , and your wonderful job writing I can now start to working to be a better wife, mother and most of all a good Christian woman.
Not that I wasn't working on that already, but it inspired me to work even harder to really leave in acording to God's will to my life.
I RECOMEND this book to every woman out there that is married, for one week, or ten years, if you really want to find out what is God's purpose for you life as a wife, read it, you will never be the same, it will change your life forever, and your husband's life too.
Thank you Lysa for letting God use you for His purpose, and keep blessing our life with your inspiring writing.
with love, your sister in Christ,

Lysa, I'm very anxious to get your books..I was listening to Christian Radio the other day, and heard you speak. I was completely drawn to what you were saying regarding your childhood and your baby sister hailey. Such an honest person, you open your heart for all of us, and you captured mine. I'm a very spiritual person, and i'm excited to get your books..

I woke up this morning before 5am to get showered and dressed before my little hurricanes got up. I wanted to look extra nice for a listing appointment. As luck would have it, though, I stumbled upon your blog and now I have dark black streaks of mascara running down my cheeks. The landromat story touched me!

I'm a military spouse and working mother of six. Two of my children are biological while the other four are adopted. I take pride in my children of assorted colors and often compare us to a Whitman's Sampler box.

One thing I don't pride myself on, however, is my inability to HAPPILY balance the demands of marriage, motherhood, work, church committments and volunteer activities. As a result, I think the book, "A Woman's Secret to a Balanced Life" would probably assist me in my struggle.

PS. You should put a warning that reads something like, "may need tissues" on future stories like the laundromat account!!

I am a work in progress. The Lord has opened my heart and I thirst for more ways to honor Him. I now have more understanding than I have ever had in my life. I feel kinder towards people and a desire to help everyone even when they seem mean, hurt, sad and unhappy because I was there too. Thanks to our Heavenly Father for his Grace and Love I now feel like I have a purpose to my life.

Hi Lysa,

On my way to work this morning in heavy Dallas traffic, I just missed a three-car collision, and had a near crash with a motorcycle - so close - I only saw the man's helmet. It shook me up terribly, but immediately I thanked God for protecting the cyclist and me. I know God is watching over me and my family and only wants the best for us. I know this can't happen without a close relationship with God. I struggle in this area. Therefore, I would choose "What Happens When Women Walk in Faith" for me.

"A Woman's Secret to a Balanced Life" will be the perfect gift for a very dear friend of mine who I feel God calling me to help. Her life is filled with daily drama that eats away at her soul. She's a wonderful person that I know, with God's help, will benefit from this book.

Lastly,I feel God pulling me to ask for "Leading Women to the Heart of God". I'm not yet sure who I need to give it to, but actually now as I type, I do have a name in mind. I don't know this person very well, but she has recently volunteered to run our children's ministry at church. Our church is growing steadily in our small community.

Thank you for this opportunity to share God's love with other wonderful women in my life.

Thank you for the daily laughs and tears through your blog. I can't start my day without them!

Merry Christmas to you and your family and may God certainly bless you.

Your mission trip sounds very familiar - I've had the privilege of being in just the right place in a moment where God spoke to me about helping another. The joy that comes from that obedience cannot be described! It must be experienced!

Thank you for all that you do, for the work that allows you to bring his message to me and everyone else whom you touch. The books that I would like are: "What happens when women walk in faith"; "A woman's secret to a balanced life"; "Living life on purpose". Lysa,
After reading your story from today I feel like I should share a story about my husband and God's faithfullness. Every holiday season my husband's dept at work donates food and presents to a family in need. This year the family has 10 children. They donate to the family at Thanksgiving and then again at Christmas. Around Thanksgiving the emails started to come out to the employees about donating to this family. My husband felt convicted to give but did not. He had been saving his mad money for a new TV. We have had three die since Sept. So he wants a new one really bad. Then last week an email came out about helping the family for Christmas and about helping another individual within the dept that had fallen on tough times. At that point my husband knew he needed to listen to God and donate the money he had been saving for a new TV. About 10 minutes after donating the money to the 2 families in need my husband received two phone calls from people wanting him to do some work for them. When my husband was telling me this story my eyes were filled with tears of thankfullness for God's faithfullness.

I haven't read any of your books but look forward to doing so. The three that I would pick is:
What Happens When Women Say Yes to God
Who Holds the Key to Your Heart
Parenting and Marriage

I moved 800 miles from home 2 weeks ago for a "better life" for my boys (age 4 and 2). Living in an apartment until our house sells in the other city has been an adjustment but my eldery neighbor invited us over this afternoon for coffee and dessert. After coming home I felt the desire to give a gift to her and her daughter. Tonight I read your blog and realized that my idea is definitely what I should do. Thank you for sharing your life with us. I lead a Bible study at my previous church on Capture His Heart. I would love to read The Bathtub is Overflowing But I Feel Drained. Hi Lysa, I love P31 and read it regularly as well as your own blog! I loved the Red Coat story and have definitely been blessed by it. When I was going through a hard financial time, we had an experience much like that (HUGE SHOCK) and let me tell you. I am so grateful.

I'd love to read The Bathtub is Overflowing BUt I Feel Drained! As mom of 4 (including a first year middle schooler and 2 elementary schoolers, and a preschooler), this book has just been something I've considered time and time again. Capture His Heart for a friend that really could use it. Also, Living Life On Purpose for a friend that is doing just that "just trying to keep her head above water" and I think could really use the encouragement! Where I'm picked or not, I thank God for your blog and words of encouragement. You're just a REAL woman, mom, and Christian with REAL advice!

Hey Lysa
I haven't read any of your books, but I enjoy reading your Proverbs 31 devotionals. I'm feeling pretty depressed and down on myself today so your devotion really spoke to me. I'd be interested in reading "Living Life on Purpose", "Who Holds the Keys to Your Heart", and "The Bathtub is Overflowing but I Feel Drained". I have 2 dd (ages 4 & 1) and I work some too. I don't know how people with more kids or those who work full time do it! I feel so stressed out and I only have 2 children. I desperately want to "get it together", but just can't seem to do it. Maybe I'll win & learn a few tools I can use. Thanks for your encouragement & devotions.
Sincerely,

Dear Lysa,

I discovered your website through, Christianity.com. Reading the devotion, Does God Really Care About about Me? I turned 50 years old this year and I have been encourting all kinds of trails in my life. I have been unemployed for five months now and one class away from an associate degree in accounting. My credit is so bad right now, the accounting degree won't help in my career choice right now. I thank God for giving me an opportunity to go back to school and complete this degree. My children are adults now, I thought I would be living a worried free life now. I pray everyday asking God what is my life purpose, his word says, "he will never leave you nor forsake you." I hope I can win your book on Living life on Purpose for myself, to find the purpose God have for my life. I would like to give my daugher the book, A Woman's secret to a Balance Life, so she can increase her faith while working and attending college. The third book, What Happen when woman walk in Faith I would like to read and share it with a Friend, she is single and needs to have faith and depend on God to give her the things she longs for.

It is so nice of you to give away 3 books of your own writtings. I didn't know really which 3 to choose because all of them are attractive by their title and description of the content. But after too much thinking, I would like to choose:
1. Capture his heart, for I am about to get married.
2. Capture her heart, to dedicate it for my spouse.
3. Who holds the key to your heart, as I know someone with an internal pain and I believe it will be of a great help to her.

Lysa,I know that if God has moved your heart to extend this gift of your books to us, that HE has people in mind to encourage.....it's hard to pick 3 of these great titles but I did:
almost...
either one of What happen's.. books ,WHo holds the key...( for my mom who suffers many of those issues listed..I want to see her release them to Jesus and be healed) A woman's secret...(i need this, as a missionary family in support raising, busy young family, and desiring to not only reach the unreached with the Gospel but my own neighbourhood too! I would appreciate this help!)

Your books are listed on my Daughter-In-Law's My space page as favorites. (The one referenced is "What Happens When Women Walk in Faith?) which I would be interested in reading. I would love to give her "The Bathtub is Overflowing But I feel Drained" She is the Step-Mother of my 7 year old grandson, but in our eyes she is His Mother. My daughter would love "A Woman's Secret to a Balanced Life.

I hope it is not too late... I just now read the devotional from the 11th! What a truly wonderful thing you did. You were obedient to the prompting of the Holy Spirit and blessed a woman and her children. I have been where she is and have been blessed by many wonderful people in my life. I got the chance to see you and hear you speak a few years ago at a hearts-at-home conference, and you were so refreshing, so real. I love to read, and have one of your books; What Happens When Women Say Yes To God. I am thankful that God has used you to influence my life threough your writing, and your speaking. If I were to win 3 of your books, I would have to choose 2 for my good friends that need to learn to focus on each other in their marriage, so two of the books would be Capture His Heart, and Capture Her Heart. I am positive that their marriage would be blessed by reading these books. My book choice would be The bathtub is overflowing but I feel drained. As the mother of four children ages 3 to 17, I am overwhelmed, and captivated by these four. My husband and I have recently gone back to school after 20 plus years to earn nursing degrees. Between all night study sessions, classes, kids, and full time jobs, I am a little drained at times. But God has been good to us, and I am trusting Him for all things. God bless you Lysa, and I hope you get your red coat one of these days!

Thank you for this site.
Please send me information about any book that has the Power of Prayer indicated and a study guide as well.

I have enjoyed your writing and look forward to buying at least one of your books with hopes of growing in the Power of Prayer for my life and hopefully to share with others. Thank you for your faithfulness,

Lysa... Hi I came to your womens conference in Indianapolis, IN. a few weeks ago. I must say I loved how funny you were and I loved your powerful testimony even more. I've adopted the prayer that you recite every morning (lord I wanna know you, lord I wanna feel you...I say yes). I thank you so much for being such a blessing into my life and I wish you all the blessings and joy that the lord has for you. You as well as your family will remain in my heart and on my prayer list.
